Antique (look) Silver Flatware

I'm truly crushing over my new Antique silver flatware from Pottery Barn.  They have truly hit a home run with this design.  When I first saw it featured on Miss Mustard Seed's blog, I knew that I wanted to check it out on my next date night with hubby (yes, some date nights we like to get a Starbucks drink and hit Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn together!)...So we did, and we really fell for this set of flatware.

Antique Silver Flatware

I loved these vintage re-makes with their heavy oversized feel, their imprinted words, and the fact that I would be able to just toss them into the dishwasher.

Regular silver flatware usually requires a lot of maintenance, especially when new.
And they so remind me of my great-grandmother, Elsie's, silver flatware.  I used to love to pull up a chair and help with washing the dishes and loving it when we finally got down to the charming forks, spoons and knives...

He has bought me several other pieces in this line since we first brought home the flatware.  For Christmas he got me the cheese serving set and I used a gift card from my son to buy one of their drinking pitchers.

I don't know when I have been so excited as I am now to set the table for dinner guests!  But this one is for just me and my sweet guy...
